BioRobin is an analytical pirate/archaeologist/researcher from Ohara, an island which has since been obliterated. Alone and on the run since she was 8, she is self-contained and self-sufficient, able to endure much and get away with little food and less sleep if needed (though she has a particular fancy for coffee).
Perhaps because of this self-reliance, she is hesitant to give out personal information about herself. Anyone trying to get her name may find they have to ask several times before they get a straight answer – if they get one. And while it may be a vein of the same attitude, she rarely pries too far into others’ personal lives, and while she’ll remember their names, won’t often use them, if ever.
She has an insatiable curiosity regarding anything historic in her own world, and in this new one that translates into a curiosity about anything she perceives as unusual. Though unusual is in the eye of the beholder, as most would consider her strange – she has the power to grow limbs, eyes and ears from any surface she can see, in modest amounts.
While her commentary may not always be helpful, it is usually straightforward, resulting in some people thinking she’s morbid or pessimistic. Most of the time, she’s just saying what others are thinking, she just doesn’t have any qualms about saying it. She got this trait largely from a former employer, who looked to her for honest assessment of what he was doing, even if he didn’t act on her thoughts.
